Can you translate that for me please? :)
We sold $6,000 worth of these in 5 home games. (Digital Montages)
Here is one of our displays in front of our photo booth on game day, naturally these pics look better with matting and a frame...

Looks very nice. Sounds like a fun and profitable business to be in. :)
Don't listen to mr humbug.
Out of curiosity, how do you handle printing? I assume these are digital pics photoshopped together. Do you have some sort of fancy glossy printer at home, or do you take the digital files to a print shop?

44 tackles, 12 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and a defensive TD in 9 games....
I might sound arrogant saying this next statement...but...I will be very surprised if he does not get the MVP trophy for the team this year...we'll find out Friday night!
-
sweet! Just make sure you don't push him too hard...It's very easy for kids to get burnt out on a sport when they start at an early age....
Rip- Are you a former athlete?

Great job there, Rip. Looks like a future Heisman Trophy winner ya got there.
Oh wait, I just saw he plays defence.. well, some kinda trophy winner for sure:lol

Hell no! I played some baseball and basketball, but I was too skinny to do much else.
FWIW, he pushes ME! :lol
I didn't want him to play football to begin when his obsession with football took hold about 2 years ago, strictly due to my own selfishness, I knew it was a big parental committment (5 nights a week, 2 hour practices in August, then Sept/Oct/Nov are 3 nights a week, this does not include games) but then I came down off my horse and realized its about them, not me!:aok
Ya Slim, they play both sides of the ball. :aok

Excellent! I used the new Kata element cover when shooting with the long lens, couldn't be happier!
I actually used my little umbrella (without the Kata cover, due to the flash attachment) for the Champion Team pictures in the endzone! It worked like a charm!

Too freaking busy overall. Maybe you can do something about the transitions? You need something to pull the montages together.
Gordon's,
Bottom center picture and bottom right look great. Very dynamic, real sense of movement.
Top left, is he trying to mate with a smurf?
Top center and top left look to posed. If you are going to have posed shot, have a posed shot.
Bottom right, I don't know looks like he is about to hurt himself.
Font, gayest ever. Cripes, it's a sports montage. Not an invitation to here is pan-flute recital at the Conservatoir.
Reily's
Let's look at the same two shots from a billion angles.....no.
But at least he's got good lettering.

ya, this was my first...so things I've learned: I need to blur the background and lighten it, it will take the "busy-ness" out of it. Can you believe people order these things with 8 pictures?! I tell them that its going to be too busy, but they don't care, they just write a check!

thats pretty funny!:rofl I did change the text from this pic.

I can see how you'd feel that way about the center pic, but the top left, how do you pose someone sacking a QB? (shrugs) ;) Perhaps you meant the top right? The photos used are actually up to the customer, in this case, I was my own customer. I could have used posed shots, but I really wanted in game shots, since that's what we shoot..."action shots".
Incidently, my partner is a "She". Thanks for the feedback!

Well that's what I like, the "action shots". Maybe a big posed one where he is holding his helmet in the center where you can see his face. And the action shots around it.
"This is Gordon...this is Gordon kicking ass."
Well his name labeled under the posed shot anyway.

I been thinking about Reilly's. I don't know what you are doing there photography wise. Are you taking too few shots and don't have anything that stands out or two many and can't pick ones with some varity?

Kids 7 years old don't have any "fantastic" shots unfortunately, those soccer shots are far and inbetween. Regarding the montage, I didn't create that one. I felt it was "too busy" when she gave it to me, but hey, 75% of our sales were all her montage work and there wasn't one parent that didn't like theres, matter of fact, one broke down and began crying for crissakes!(out of joy, not disappointment..) I was like "its only a fricking photo montage!" but of course I didn't say that.

Rip refresh my memory on your sons weight classification that he plays in.
Down here my oldest son (turned 10 in September and is in 4th grade) plays in a maximum weight 105LB division. He is our starting left tackle and a backup on defense. He is the lightest one on our offensive line from tackle to tackle and he weighed 80lbs on certification day. Our other 4 kids on the line average 100lb and when you add him in that drops to 96lbs.
We are playing for the league championship again this coming Saturday and have clinched regular season championships 3 years in a row. Over the last three years in playing 29 games we are 26 wins and 3 losses. We play #30 on Saturday and are hoping to make it 27/3; right now we have a 17 game winning streak happening with this team after going 6-2 during the regular season last year. We lost the first two and then won 8 straight for the regular season and post season championships.

Right ON! Good luck in the Championship game! I bet you get butterflies in your stomach on Saturday ;)
My son turns 11 in Jan. His weight class is:
8 year olds 81 lbs. - 110 lbs.
9 year olds 76 lbs. - 100 lbs.
10 year olds No minimum - 90 lbs.
11 year olds No minimum - 75 lbs.
He goes up to Bantam weight next year, as he weighs 92 lbs. right now and he'll be 11 next season.

did you see that phoito of the salmon swimming down the street in Shelton?
you should photoshop that in infront of your team photo roflmao

Im confused. How come a 9 year old weigh up to 100 pounds but a 11 year old can weigh up to 75 pounds?
Sorry.

Because the older you are the taller/more muscular you are is my guess Blue. Although 75Lbs seems REALLY light for a standard 11 year old.
A lot of red in that championship photo, but I was wondering why are their jersey's half dark red and half red? Raining or did they all get Gatorade coolers on the head?

Nirvana is correct in the bold text above.
Ya, sweat. They darken when they sweat or its raining.

Down here our league is an exception to the standard. We don't have an unlimited but that may be changing in the next year or two because the middle and high school coaches in our towns are giving us grief. Right now we are not "giving the really big kids in your age groups the individual attention they need to learn how to play"; at least that is what I hear from my high school and middle school coaches.
They want us to adopt an unlimited weight classification but make it so that if you are over a certain weight that you must play on the offensive and defensive lines. Which to me is ridculous because some of our best defensive line players weigh less than 60lbs and are super fast playing on the line and one of our best full backs is a kid that is almost 100lbs but runs great and is really quick.
Here are our website links:
http://www.vhyf.com (what I designed and work on)
www.vhrebels.com (http://www.vhrebels.com/06f.asp?ID=67) (our head coach's site)
My son is #90 and I am the coach with the visor on in the middle of the team photo.

Ripsnort, some suggestions,
the first pic:
the middle part (boy#2, boy#5) have a complete different gras
then the other pics around, this makes the whole picture less "quiet",
to much disturbing, the green on all pics should be the same style (color),
(thats why BW shootings are much easer ;)
I would also do a less feather around each boy-picture, the helmet at
background picture #5 should be more clearer (visible) at the edge. and you
should edit the boy#4 to look like he is runnung around it or at least
close, both should have similar Focus to the helmet one.
the second pic:
change this whole picture into Black & white,
what do you see? boy#2 have this darking around him, it doesent
fit compared the boys #1 and #3, change this.
The Background goal picture should not be visible that much at
some parts of the picture, it lets look boy#7 look like a dwarf compared
to the others in combination with the visible background.
And the right part of the background goal post looks like an photo error,
remove it or show it, this transparent thing is nothing.
ok thats all from me ;)

Ya don't look much different than when you visited :)
Only 25 kids on the team?!? Wow!
Last year we had 44 kids, this year 39 (which I am told, is a low number) but Puyallup is a "football town", with about 3 or 4 NFL QB's coming out of it.
Regarding weights of players, our best "nose guards" are the lighter, smaller kids that can bust the line upon snap of the ball.
Ditto your comments on fullbacks... (My son was starting fullback, at 98 lbs. with his gear on, minus his helmet, but they moved him to tail back because our other tailback was not "hitting the hole" that he was supposed to. They finally figured out that Gordon create holes, and avg. 4 yards a carry with people hanging on! ;) )

Wow! Thanks for the feedback! I did not know we had so many artists on this web! :) Do you have something I could look at that you've done that I could possibly learn from? I think a picture speaks a thousand words. Thanks! I'm still learning...this was my first one! (my business partner has been making them all, I just shoot the pictures...)
-
Yes we split our kids up this year in the 105lb group. We have 57 kids sign up so we went with one team that wanted to stick together and another team of a large group of first year players and kids that were coming back to play after being out for one or two seasons. They ended up going 3-5 but could have easily gone 5-3.
-
Ripsnort, i do so many thing here, the last years mainly package design for the daily use,
for me thats not art, it just have to let people buy it, if possible alot ;)
But if you have questions just ask me pm. One more thing,
picture 2, the boy#4, the person behind him is a half face thing,
also the person behind boy#8 thats a No No in photography, remove
it or use a different photo.

Kinda touchy, lol. You asked for opinons dumb arse.

The "Gordon" picture needs a different font. The one you used can hardly be seen. Other than that, I don't like the pictures or the montage and I would not buy a copy of either of those.

Cool montage "Brian" :)

Touchy? I wanted his professional opinion, and samples if possible. Why are you always so angry?
Ghostft, thanks! Will PM you when questions arise. You're correct about the half face, didn't even notice it! I'll ask her to be more careful next time.
