I downloaded some recommended software and bam.
What do I do please?

look like the dual core problem

if your CPU is a dual core go here : http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html

and download the dual core optimizer

Try to run aceshigh.exe ,Windows 98/windows Me compatible mode

If this is a dual-ciore AMD, the patch at AMD's site will correct the problem.  No need to run the game in compatibility mode.
