Title: 4th painting: self portrait,
Post by: Russian on November 15, 2006, 01:07:39 AM: The entire goal of this self-portrait was to complete it with quick strokes, not photo-realistic style. I’m trying to apply as friend suggested style of Sargent. (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=sargent&btnG=Search+Images)This probably took me less than 3 hours and two bottles of beer. Post by: Leslie on November 15, 2006, 02:36:49 AM: Here's a suggestion. Take a small brush and just barely touch the inner canthus area (tearduct) with cad red light straight from the tube. Right where the eyeball meets the skin at the inner corner. This is best done while the paint is still wet. Kinda gives the eye depth and defines that anatomy of the eye better. Don't use much, just a very small dab'll do ya. I mean barely any at all. Might try that on the next portrait.

I just got back from photo-shoot with my nude model….but unfortunately for you, actual picture will not see days on the internet. Sorry… :p

thats not fat you have to add
she don't have waist line (is she asian?) , fix that (lower?) and all should be ok
are you going to add some kind of color accent? background is kind of boring

Yes, she is asian: half philippino, half vietnamese. What do you mean 'color accent?" And background will have some work done to make it more 3D.
