Title: Perceived ZIG ZAG Warping on Purpose
Post by: bustr on November 15, 2006, 05:55:40 AM
OK I listen to respected players joke that there is a way to cause warping by wiggling your copper connection.

Is it coincidence or my imagination that some players suddenly start a random ZIG ZAG warping when I'm on their close SIX with no chance of shaking me?

I would beleive that pulling one's copper line connection would dump the security handshake which was negotiaged at the first logon and that would kill  the session.

Skuzzy----- Is it possible that this ZIG ZAG warping is a game defeating  feature? Is it possible to game the game this way?

I would like to believe some players have a questionable connection and it contributes to the PERCEPTION of ZIG ZAG warping during critical ACM manuvers in which the person on the SIX will prevaile.

HTC --- I'm only questioning about a phenominon that SEEMS to happen when a player has a dominate 6 position and the target player SEEMS to suddenly ZIG and ZAG randomly out of expected gunnery solutions.

My expectation is that the player in question's connection is having an issue such as UDP packets being dropped in favor of TCP at multiple routers.

HTC and Skuzzy I apologise for any perception that I may be questioning your game. Personaly I beleive this to be the premeir Air Combat game in the world. I'm confused by a phenominom I have been seeing recently.

Respectfuly -- Keith Davis
