Title: PTO 1941/1942 - setup for Friday the 17th
Post by: Panzzer on November 15, 2006, 12:39:51 PM
Coming to an Axis vs Allies arena near you this Friday...

It's late in December of 1941. The Japanese have advanced to Philippines and Wake Island...

A6M2, B5N, D3A vs P40B, F4F, Hurri1, Boston III. With M-series for both.

Settings:
AvA standards will be used for most (0.25 for all ack, 30 mins downtimes, I'll have to see where the bases are and adjust radar and frontlines accordingly).

With many thanks to Raptor & Terrain team for the new map.

Ok, the terrain wasn't available on the server, I had to use another terrain. Randomization method ended up with Rangoon, so the setup is on Rangoon map now. My mistake, I should have checked that the terrain is available before planning a setup on it. Oh well, now the planes are the same, but the map is a bit different.

Axis vs Allies: PTO 1941-42

It's late in December of 1941. The Japanese have advanced to Philippines and Wake Island.

Axis (knights):
A6M2, B5N, D3A1, M-series.

Allies (bishops):
P40B, F4F, Hurricane Mk. 1, Boston III

Settings:
All ack .25
Capture requires 20 troops
Fog visibility 10 miles
Radar: Historical
Killshooter OFF
Fuel burn 1.5

Let me know if something has gone wrong. Enjoy.

Guys,

Something weird...I logged, switched to bishops, grabbed a Boston in an airfield and I only had Hangar option for take-off...Then, I was in a vehicle hangar and I broke my wings rolling - no reverse in these kites - and it happened twice...Tried a fighter and it was the same.

Arena porked? JFYI.

Thanks

Sparow

Some fields show up as airfields but actually are vehicle bases.

That's right. At least F4F's can get out of the hangar, P40 doesn't seem to fit out of the door (I wonder how they've gotten them inside the hangar?).

Maybe I should have gone through all fields and enable Bostons and P40's only for the real airfields (with runways and hangars) and F4F's for those airfields with VH's. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, but I'm sure Daddog's squad would like to try SOMETHING DIFFERENT, no matter what it happens to be!

Just make sure you tell folks first, Daddog.
