Title: John McCain Launches "Exploratory Committee" for 2008 Presidential Bid

Interesting.  He had my vote if he had gotten to run for President back in 2000.

I wouldn't vote for McCain any quicker than I'd vote for Rudy. They would certainly be "lesser of two evils" votes.

McCain is too quick to cater to the media, and too quick to abandon conservative ideals. He's barely a Republican at all, and not really all that conservative either. Much like Tennessee's own Bill Frist, a guy I voted for, he was too willing to allow obstructionists to block judicial appointments, and too willing to roll over and go in with those obstructionists on other issues as well. His version of campaign reform wasn't, his version of immigration reform wasn't either.

Mc Cain figues with the dems in control of both house and senate he belongs in the whitehouse to make it a total dem govt. in 08. Yes I know he's a "registered" republican, he's just a democrat in republican "colors".

You guys arent getting a pure republican in the whitehouse anyway you slice it barring a very major miracle.

No way. no how
Not after 8 years of Bush.

The best you can even think of hoping for is a very moderate republican.
OR a very moderate Democrat.

The only other viable option os going to be to the far left (Hillary)
but no way is this country going to be voting in favor of a pure republican next election.

Would be just as wasted a vote as if you penciled inthe name of Wile E Coyote or some unheard of 3rd party candidate

McCain is a war hero and I respect him for all he suffered through in service of our nation. Beyond that, he's a crappy poop face.

mccain might be the only democrat I would vote for... not because I agree with anything he believes in but because he would be the lesser of two evils...

Problem is... every vote I am forced to pick a more evil than last time "lesser of two evils"  it is like choosing between castro and stalin.

McCain is a DC native and cant be trusted to do anything but carry on the same old R agenda thats done, well, nothing.

I think he'll be a strong candidate though, the Dem congress will fail to do poop, like they always do, and McClone can carry the alleged torch of "change".. I love politics "those guys failed, vote for us if you want 'change'..back to the way we failed last time"

...in the end it just doesn't matter, both parties only know how to screw the pooch, the page, and the taxpayer while lobbyists, illegal aliens and big business laugh heartily.

Americans had elected us to change government, and they rejected us because they believed government had changed us. ...
Hypocrisy, my friends, is the most obvious of political sins. And the people will punish it. We were elected to reduce the size of government and enlarge the sphere of free and private initiative. Then we lavished money, in a time of war, on thousands of projects of dubious, if any, public value. We responded to a problem facing some Americans by providing every retired American with a prescription drug benefit, and adding another trillion dollars to a bankrupt entitlement. We increased the size of government in the false hope that we could bribe the public into keeping us in office. And the people punished us. We lost our principles and our majority. And there is no way to recover our majority without recovering our principles first.

Just a snipit from his upcoming speech to the GOPAC.  I think he's spot on but I'm still on the fence when it comes to him.

xmarine... I admire your ability to see corruption in both parties politicians.... It must be very difficult eh?

But..unless you have a solution....

So what is your solution other than telling us all what we allready know about the government?

lets hear it... what can we do to slow or stop the race to big government, more taxes and socialism?
