Title: Frame Rate Loss with GeForce 2
Post by: eng3firemn on September 17, 2001, 02:27:00 PM
Hey Guys,
Recently I've seen a bad framerate loss with my GeForce 2 64 MB card. When I'm in smoke it drops down to like 8 fps. I usually am seeing around 60 - 70 fps regular and 35 - 40 in smoke...but not anymore. Can anyone give me some advice on what I can do to optimize my system to help it out with AH. I have an Athlon 1.0G w/ 256 MB of RAM. Any suggestions would be great.
Thx,
firemn

P.S. - I am not using Beta 14, just regular install.

Did u ever clock your card?

Hey Skurj,

Thx for the reply. What are detonators you are talking about related to Beta 14? An d no, I've never clocked my card, in fact ... I don't even know what that is. If you have anymore suggestions, feel free to e-mail me at mike@plas-tal.com.

Thanks,

The latest drivers which are available at nvidia.com, they became available within the last 2 weeks, and give me a good boost especially in the Beta14 version of AH
