Just figgured I'd start the thread... anyone seen it yet?  Reviews so far look very promising.

That's the first sign something is wrong when you apply that to a Bond film.

it was a cool film, worth going to see ;)

That's all I've been hearing. I might have to fork out the cash to see it in a theater.

Saw it tonight.  I liked it like most of the bond movies.

There was one 'cut' though that still leaves me thinking "what the hiiiiizzle?"

It's like they skipped 5 minutes of movie to go from A to B and I wondered what I'd missed.

Anyone else know what/where that cut was?

I'm going to see it tomorrow. It looks really cool. I hope the new bond keeps up the 007 reputation.

Brosman was easily the single thing in the entire world that authentically pissed me off.

He was better than Roger Moore.

What Bond actor you prefer prolly has alot to do with who you saw first, and who got you hooked on Bond.
Bond for me will always be Roger Moore even if the rest of the world hated him as Bond. Pierce Brosnan will always be that dinky detective (Remington Steel??) and could never work for me as Bond.

I have to see this new guy before ill give my verdict, but for some reason I see him as a terrorist/criminal so i suspect he has had that role in some movie that I have seen. He is a good actor tho so he may work if he can make me forget that.

The first Bond I saw was Moore, I was probably 6 or 7.
I was surprised he was nothing like I remembered (barely impressive) when I saw Golden gun again, a few days ago.. I agree Connery is the best match, but not that anything is better than Brosman.

Connery Ruled .. (The essence of Bond ,James Bond )

Moore was good and bad . (good storylines and stunts , bad acting at times)

Dalton  really didnt have it .(he was too stuffy shirt)

Brosman in  Goldeneye   (very close to Connery's  great ones . )

Saw it yesterday morning.  Its decent, but they tried to be too intricate in the story line for a bond movie, i tink.  I give it a 7 out of 10.

Besides the love story part being a bit long, I would say this bond flick was the best to come out in years.

Connery will always be the impossible bar for the ultimate bond... but I gotta say this guy did a great job.

I'd say he just made #2 on my bond list.

Agree. Brosnan tried and got the closest of the rest.

I was prepared to dislike, even hate this guy as Bond.  After the last 2 they've tried, I was beginning to wish they'd let the series die a dignified death.

My faith is restored.  He doesnt have the same style Connery brought to the character, but then I dont think anyone could bring that kind of style to a character.  He's good though.

And thankfully they rewrote the script, the original was a nightmare.  It was supposed to be funny I guess, but I wasnt laughing much when I watched it.

James Bond should drive a Lamborgini Diablo.

The original was a parody of the book with David Niven as Bond.

Clint Eastwood > James Bond.

Id say a lambo is more fitting for a crook in the Bond flicks. oo7 himself has to drive an Aston. The BMW he had was not bad at all, but Aston is better.

The Bond series is very good at product placement. Unlike many other movies I would actually miss it if they skipped using Bond as a walking poster for classy items.

Bond in a Diablo...hmmmmm....that's just a little too ghey for me.

:noid

P.S. - Magnum would kick Bond's bellybutton and then steal his girl(s)!

:D

I actually think George Lazenby did a good job, OHMS was at least different in having a downbeat ending. Plus I always liked Diana Rigg - Emma Peel!!

Interviewed, Craig was asked what he thought each previous actor brought to the Bond character.
For Brosman, he said "[...]Suave and sophisticated[...]":lol
