Did anyone watch that documentary lastnight on Extremist Millitant Islam.
Very interesting. Makes me very concerned with the current change of the house and senate . I would be interested in what you all have to say about it if you saw it. :O
-
I watched most of it. Not really much we can do in the US but wait and watch. Freedom of religion is one of our founding principles. Should some in our nation forcibly attempt to convert our government to a theocracy with no freedom of religion it will be time to act. However, successful revolutions often occur over time with little violence. Islam is a billion strong and growing.

And it is a one way ticket. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.

One way tickets are the best. No need for second guessing and flip-flopping.

I just hope they don't make learn to speak arabic. I'm having enough trouble learning spanish.

Aww its not so bad. All you need to know is Allah-akbar.
The last time I took a muslim girl home it was the first thing she said to me when she saw what i had in my trousers. When she got her burka off and revealed them titties i said the same thing.
We had a blast.

Conservatives on staff at Fox? Say it ain't so.
For every conservative on staff at Fox I'd bet there are at least 3 other "journalists" elsewhere in the US that are hard core liberal.

BTW rpm, that document looks like it was typed with an old IBM Selectric to me. ;)

My biggest concern over The millitant Islamic trend is the silent majority that apparently support it through their lack action. This should concern all of us including the 2 billion Chinese.:noid They have the most to loose including the Russians They have so many impovershied developing "Stans" around them. Filled to the brim with disgruntled Muslims

Spanish is not that hard:p (I take that back, the conjucations are teh pain!)
I was gonna pick Arabic or Russian for my foreign language class in UNLV, but i decided to take Japanese instead. Looking at their writing system, I think Japanese is the only language that uses 4 writing systems...
ひらがな
Hiragana - 46 sylables
カタカナ
Katakana - 46 sylables, used for foreign words and used as italics
漢字
Kanji - Chinese characters 1,945 of them
ロマ字 (Romaji)
Roman alphabets

This is a great bit on islamic propaganda. Again from a conservative who admits he's a conservative from the very begining and holds nothing back.
Stick your head in the sand all you want because of his political leanings but the videos alone speak for themselves.

I saw 10 seconds of that video and if the rest is anything like that then i wont be wasting my time with it. Even the most diehard leftist knows about those people and the threat the pose.
The question is how much attention you give them and how many you think actually follows them. You have the visible minority that chants like that and walks in the streets with their "death to america" posters.
If you get all bent out of shape and want to go after them and eliminate the "threat they pose" then you play right into the arms of those sitting in the background pulling the strings. Those are people like Bin Laden who loves it when they get their enemy in the ambushes of their back yards. That is were they defeat you.

All democrats are muslim extremists.
Geeze louise.

Like the president of Iran leading his people in a chant "death to Israel"? Foolish to ignore the leader of a nation seeking nuclear weapons and dominance in the middle east.

Nope, I get it just fine. I probably should have included the rest of your post. The part about revolutions happening slowly over time. Sometimes they start with just a symbol on a lawn.... like outside a courtroom.
-
If one asumes that they seek to dominate the middle east then isnt that a problem that concerns the nations in the middle-east? If say saudi arabia sees them as a threat then i have a feeling that they will deal with it.
How (apart from wast enery resources) is this something that troubles the west?
If it was a deep rooted consern for civilian life in the region then again i wonder why the same effort is not spent in other areas were more people are at real risk daily.

In over 200 years we have become less Christian rather than more in the US. I think you'll find the yoke of Christianity you've endured to be far less oppressive than when Muslims becomre a predominant religion in this country. I'll remind ya in 20 years.

Aside from the obvious fact of the much needed oil in the Middle East? How about the US ally Israel? When a burgeoning nuclear power threatens annihilation of an ally we take it seriously. Maybe you noticed that the US maintains a military presence in europe to this day?
-
Imagine how those billions upon billions of dollars spent in Iraq could have been used treating problems in africa, problems at home, investing in Mexico (to prevent all those illegals that are a problem) and financially supporting those that wants to be democratised in the middle east and elsewere.
Would that not have made the US, the western world and the poor/sick alot safer than the billions that are just wasted in Iraq.
As an added bonus you would not have the rapid recruitment of potential terrorists, criminals and corruption that starting a war in Iraq have brought.
-
We continually spend billions at home and in Africa. Solves no problems.
Impossible to say what would have happened had we left Saddam in power.

Israel has said many times that they are capable of dealing with Iran if they start making nukes. I belive they can reduce the country to rubble if they feel like it.
Yes the US has a presence in Europe and vice versa. Its the Nato alliance (that btw is a defencive alliance) and it is in many ways a success story. There is nothing controversial about that system.

So adding a few more billlions in medication, refugee help and security in africa would not save more lives than attacking Iraq?
Again.. nobody things its a bad thing that Saddam is gone, but for how long is a Saddam type person really gone from Iraq? Removing him was removing a syptom not the cause. When the US and GB has gone the cause will still be there and the spmptom will return in another form.

ROFL... pardon my typos... Im having a fight of my own here with another demon that goes by the name of Jhonnie Walker. :D

About Africa...
China is already investing and winning friends in African continent.

Oddly.... if it were christians who said that anyone who showed a drawing of jesus would die... the leftwingers would be pulishing pictures every day and the ACLU would be making schools have posters of jesus and textbooks with his likeness..
If the christians made women were veils the lefties would be apopleptic and jon stewart would be making faces at his audience about it nightly...
If christians stoned women to death or didn't allow em to vote or drive or own property... the democrats and lefties would be calling for a ban on christianity.
The lefties hypocracy knows no bounds.

I hope your not saying that the US would have put one more red cent into feeding the poor if they didn't dump it into Iraq.
Ya never now, our armies might be sitting in North Korea or Iran instead.
But you know... we could just take the Iraq oil and help feed the poor with the money from that I guess...

Why do people issue challenges like that? It isn't really relevant to the statements he quoted, which by the way were quite accurate.

Israel could take on Iran in a stand up ,military fight and hold their own. Everyone like to make statements like you about how Hezbollah is still there but look at the tactics they use. They hide inside the civilian population. They fire rockets from civilian neighborhoods. They attack and then scurry back and hide behind women and children, and then wait for world opinion to side with them when Israel retaliates as we have all just seen. It's the same thing in Iraq. These extreamists don't care if women or children get killed, but they know the liberals of the world DO and that helps their cause.
The only way to fight extreamism and win is to get to the point where we don't care anymore ourselves about the collatoral damage we inflict. I know that sounds harsh, and it is, but try and remember back to 9/11. How did watching everything that happened that day make you FEEL? At that time would you have cared if we had nuked someplace in the middle east? Were you worried about hurting all the women and children that were dancing in the street? I know for myself I could have given a ratts bellybutton about them, and personaly I still don't care about them.
The point being, there isn't a single country over there that could stand up to a head to head fight with Israel or the US. People are so soft now that when they see or hear about some civilians getting hurt or killed all of a sudden it's time to tie the hands of the military and we end up with Iraq.
US policy needs to change to something along the lines of this. Make a statement to the world that if any US or allied soldier or citizen is killed, for every single loss we take, we will drop a bomb on a civilian target at random. You want to live then you better turn these bastards over to us or kill them yourselves. The time is quickly approaching when the "moral high ground" is not going to matter anymore. Talking doesn't work. Giving aid and medicine doesn't work. Leaving the middle east will not work. This fight is here and now and the only way we can maintain our way of life is to fight the war as harshly as they do. That's the only thing they will understand. We will eventually be forced to fight in a manner that is as barbaric as the enemy's if we are going to win.
For those that think that if we have to stoop to that level, then maybe we shouldn't win, convert to Islam now because that will be your only choice left.

Alot of points have been made in this thread I started. Personally I feel that the underlying problem that generates all of this fanatasism is "Religion". Religion and all of it's dogmas appeal to the undereducated oppressed masses. I am not advocating a thread here about communisim here either. My point being this. For as long as history has been recorded. It has always come down to my God is better then your God B.S.
I do believe in God! I do not believe in any form of Religion. It is all man made and contrived. When the world pulls it's head out of its collective arse then and only then will it change. Unfortunately ignorance only recognises brute force. So.............do I feel Saddam should have been left in power? Absoloutely! Hind site is 20/20 I know, but look where we are at now. All of this mess because somebody wanted to get a little payback for daddy.

Yea I was afraid that my last post would make me look like an advocate for communisim / socialism. Which I am not. Nor am I a right winger or a leftist. More of a live and let live so long as you stay out of my face and let me live the way I want to live kind of guy. Getting back to the point of this thread. Millitant Islam serves no purpose other then getting other Muslims killed to forward a religious pious agenda to dominate the world through their antiquated philosophies. To believe in God does not require rules and regulations to do so.:D
-
uber... don't get me wrong... I am not a religious man either and fear any religion (including the religion of government) that gets any power over me.
Like you, I wish to be left alone and not arrested or killed because I won't do what someone in power wants me to do.
I see muslims as a bigger threat only because they are such a primitive religion with fundamental ideas that take away all personal freedom. I do not wish to live under their rule in the least.
