Just watched "snaphook1" god that was fun:)...........very interesting to watch from your end....
I have clip from my end but it looks like I exceeded bandwidth:)....
Will post it as soon as allowed....
I'll match em up so folks can see both ends on each...

watched helicopter 5....got to assume 6 is the one you owned me on...watching that I have no clue how you do that....got to find the counterpart. I was absolutely baffled ....
One thing just watching these couple of clips is noticing how careful we both are with our E state (recognizing we were both scrubbing ALL our E on the merge).
An awful lot of both clips has us less then 100 mph less then 200 apart with no shots "given" {in "snaphook1" I gave you 1 "gee I'm stupid" look that got me multiple potato's to the cockpit}. 90% of even the good pilots I encounter actually give a shot where I dont have one ..... you were consistantly judging my E state correctly and floating out of reach.

helicopter 6 is also in the clip I posted originally.....again intriquing to see it from your end. You need to let me know if you can duplicate that move in the hog. Obviously if someone has any speed your a hanging curve ball....but in a knockdown drag out all angles all hung out fight its a great "trick" to have....
I dont recall ever seeing anyone ever do that before....

LOL,that guy in the 109 flies like a noob.:D
Very interesting to see me from your perspective.
All in all the f4u should completely dominate in an angles fight, but It seems to wallow after it gets below 150 mph.I thouroghly enjoyed these fights and we should do it again as we can.
I really hope that people who have been looking for 1v1 films ,find these insightful.
I recreated the move in the F4u but what I ve noticed is that immediately after stall ,it does seem as easy to catch on the spin as the 109 is.,next time up we can try it out and see what you think.
That move is really only useful in the right situation ,which typiaclly is when both planes are slow ,pulling the 09 up and to the right, then holding right rudder and just forceing it to roll over the top in a backwards attitude, once all forward air speed is lost ,the tail will the fall out and drop and the a/c will slide down, chopping throttle ,you can catch it one second revolution most times.

Sweet jebus
to the both of you .
That is most excellent slow speed handling. Something that i have yet to become proficient at. Would the both of you mind posting stick scaling img , and stick types ?

I use the default stick scaling and an X-52 Hotas. I have pro pedals but have been flying with the X-52 twisty stick rudder....
Low speed handling like that comes from a couple of things.....flaps and control surface input. One of the key concepts in real aviation is "unloading" the plane at high angles of attack. I am not an experienced pilot IRL (nothing beyond a 172) but I've spent some time in both the "air combat" flights and had some unusual attitude training (2.5 hrs in a T-28). The hog in AH is remarkably similiar to the feel I had "hanging on the straps" in a semi inverted T-28 with the nose rotating thru. The natural tendancy is to apply control input (which in realife invariably spun the T-28). You learned very quickly that once you hit the edge of the flight envelope you unload the plane entirely and then feel your way back. Same in AH.....once you get the feel for just letting the bird hang there your 80% of the way home.
If you look thru the older hog clips or the two p-40 clips you should see multiple times where I'm in lag pursuit with the lift vector 90 degree's out of plane to the con just "hanging" in an unloaded state. This rotational movement along the lift vector is giving me 90, 180 or even 270 degrees of angular movement at 60-80 mph while the con is moving 100 or even 200 mph faster yet "losing ground"....

Very enjoyable! There is much skill on both sides. Thank you for posting these.
