Title: My Fps Went Up

im reading alot of posts about low Frame Rates and i got to tell you i usually get around 35 before the patch now im getting 165-230!

are you sure you're actually getting those frame rates?  a jump that large may mean that the FR counter is busted.  lol.

nope, disabling vsync causes the rubberness. must force on vsync

im pretty sure...the game is super smooth now...like i was flying and i relized the game looked different, and i turned on my FPS counter and it was around 156...i was like that explains it

The human eye cannot see any fps above 60 so any frames above that are a waste of CPU power. If your monitor cannot display a refresh rate equal or higher that your fps then the additional frames are being discarded, hence the likelihood of rubber bullet syndrome. vsync clamps your fps to your monitors refresh rate to prevent frames being discarded.

For best results,

1. set refresh rate higher that 60 if you can. 72 if probably the best.
2. enable vsync
3 set max fps to 60.


FYI: most movies are displayed at 40 fps.

1. You said that the human eye cannot see more than 60 but you recomend 72 as the best :rofl
