I cannot duplicate this.  Can you please give a more detailed explaination, and exactly what gun/ship you are one when this happens.

I noticed it on a CV 5 inch. As I rotated the gun, the red cross-hair would disappear then reappear as I traversed. I just did the ole mouse pointer trick as a quick fix.

Now that I think about it, the CV was burning and the cross-hair may have disappeared as the gun traversed through smoke or the view was looking in the direction of the smoke coming off of the CV. A possible lead for you.

edit: Thanks, I'll try looking at it while the ship is on fire.  Thanks.

typically, I am in E mode (Which ever that one is...) and zoomed in, and the nme ship is on fire, so it's the fire or the smoke.

I have noticed that when your gun's go off, the plume of smoke will show the crosshair, or when you land hit's on the target, the crosshair show's up, but it's clear.

So it's prob. still there, but we are loosing the Red color.

I've only noticed that it's suddenly gone while firing at aircraft or PTs. It doesn't always happen, and it sometimes comes back, but I see, like Lute, the outline of the crosshairs, but no color. They seem to just pickup whatever color is in the background.

This one's been around for as long as I can remember, but I've never been able to make it happen, so I just assumed it was a peculiarity on my machine. Nice to know that might not be the case.
