Title: Dumb Question.............
Post by: Waffle on November 20, 2006, 02:31:30 PM
My old trusy  52x24x52 cd writer has crapped out.

I've been eyeballing getting a DVD drive/burner
So the dumb question is..can the DVD drive also write to cds, or do I need to get another cd burner.

Get a lightscribe DVD burner while you're at it. Then you can "burn" labels on your DVD's. They can be had for under $100.

Get an NEC dvd/cd burner combo from newegg.  30 bucks and it is 3 times faster than the the lite-ons.
