Title: no 2d version?

Hi! I'm interested in playing Aces High, but I cant seem to find anything saying if it has a version with simple graphics, like Warbirds. I dont happen to have a 3d accelerator card, so i can only run AH if this other version exists.

Sorry, but 3d only.

On the plus side the mid level 3d cards are dropping in price fast.

eiji  go to the home page and at the bottom of page run your mouse over system reqs  you will see it is a 3d game only at this time

3d accelerators are so cheap these days as well.
You can get a voodoo3 which will run Aces fine for less than $100 USD these days

Actually, Voodoo3s are in the mid $50 range.  For about $100 you can get dang near state of the art GeForce2 MX.  Give yourself an early X-mas present.  Just ask StSanta.   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

well, its not that simple!
I live in brazil, so things of this type are so expensive, especially because our currency lost its value and my family's cash balance is getting quite tough!  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

btw.. my pc has a SiS 'accelerator' in the AGP slot with 4MB of video memory and supports D3D. it is my video card, and not an extra accelerator. that wouldnt be enough, huh?

why isnt there a 2d version after all? as i know, at least half of players in warbirds use this simpler version. if you guys manage to create a version the same way, i believe there would be more AH pilots..  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
