Title: Question for HTC and designers -- does downsizing fly?
Post by: Simaril on November 21, 2006, 04:01:01 PM
Idea came up in General Discussion thread...and I'm not sure if it's been considered or discussed.

Now that small maps are the rule, has there been any discussion of taking established large map layouts (like, for instance, FesterMA), and building smaller versions with fewer bases?

Some maps, like that FesterMA, Donut, and OzKansas were fun to play and generally appreciated. FesterMA in particular seemed to balance the needs of capture guys and fighter guys, often even driving the 2 groups to the same bases.

If this hasnt been proposed before, I'd be interested in hearing what HT has to say about it.

What I understood is that you want to take original MA maps and make replicas in a smaller version so that they can be used in the new MA setup.

I don't think you need to ask Hitech if this is alright, I think you need to ask the original map maker if its alright to make a smaller replica of his/her terrain. HTC will approve it, as long as it falls under their standards.
