my problem is i dl AH install it and when i got to run it during the plane caching it reboots my pc.....this is a new system the only thing that i kept from my old system is vid and sound card....had no trouble with old system .....now i can't even play ...any techies out there can help///thanx
-
btw for a reinstall i uninstalled and run a registry cleaner then reinstalled with a fresh dl...still no joy
-
how many processes are you running ??
along with what av / firewall ?? or is something going into sleep mode ...
-
Monte, when exactly does it crash.... while it is still creating the cache? Or do you get to see the tower and it crashes while loading the textures?
Also, have you tried resetting video settings to minimum? Does that change anything?
-
23 processes running///crashes during caching,,,never see the tower or any video settings.soon as i double click aces high it starts the caching and reboots my pc during caching..it worked fine on my old system with this same vid card
-
thats wierd ...
its either overheat type crash .. a firewall/AV related , or possible a management problem in windows ... it could even be bad ram ( its a new pc i would look in that direction to)
have you tryed other games yet ??? something demanding like farcry, generals, cod ,,, ect .
-
You have two sound cards installed. This is going to be problematic, considering one of the sound cards (Crystal ...) does not have any support for DirectSound (the sound side of DirectX).
You need to remove/disable that non-functional sound card/chip.
-
the crystal worked fine in my old pc,,,took the pc back to where i got it built at...it was the ram and in the process my new vid card quit...so i ordered new ram and vid card....it will arrive monday and i will be back in the air...thanks to all who replied....
