If you haven't seen this documentary about Dick Proenneke, living for 36 years in the Alaskan wilderness, I'd encourage you all to see it.  I was just watching it.

Really good stuff, most of the folks here would like it.

Great film maker and photographer.  Truly some amazing scenery in that part of the country.

Is that the guy who eneded up getting eatn by a grizzly bear? Or am I confusing them?

that was the 'grizzly man' Timothy Treadwell.

he was a moron but that's neither here nor there.  Will look into getting the documentary mentioned here.  AK is beauiful country.
