Reeb had a 50 mph advantage at merge.  Which translates into him having the E advantage.  To complain afterword that HaDes had an alt advantage is meaningless.

Reeb had the advantage in E and he had the angle advantage by starting the merge from underneath and angled into HaDes.

People need to realize alt doesnt equal E.  alt+ speed = E.

Balsy

(Decendant of families in Vrestina and Magoula in Sparta)

Im going to have my mother translate the rest of that film.

i wonder if the greek press was complaining about how long the war with Troy was taking and the reason for starting it in the first place.

Yup, from what I see there was no advantage to either player at the merge!  Reeb lost the match fair and square.  I do think Hades could have ended it much sooner tho if hed been a lil more aggressive! :aok

Reeb is a joke. I shot him at a 90º before and he called it a HO. He whined on 200 of course, he's only good for a cherry pick, which is why you only see him flying against fewer numbers. Always good for a laugh though, that is assuming you're like me and can't help but laugh at people that take this game too seriously.

I used thermopylae around my porch last year. Saved a lot on oil.

It was already done in the '60's, called "The 300 Spartans" I had no idea they were redoing it, though it still ends the same I'd bet.....
I also couldn't watch the trailer here at work, so if it is mentioned there as a remake, I apologize.

Hades, nice to see someone with knowledge of their own history. Then again, you folks on that side of the world have a ton of it to keep track of. My assumption on us calling it "Trojan" and you calling it "Troyan" is our typical hacking of another countries pronunciation of certain letters. I always like to track word history.

Yup, if I recall correctly there is no Greek letter that is pronounced with a hard J sound.  There's some combination of two letters that pronouces it, but I can't remember what it is.  So Troyan would be phonetically correct.

If we go that far, they wouldn't have called it "Troy" in the first place anyway. The ancients would have definately preferred "Illias".

:aok

From which we get the title "The Illiad" from Homer.

I just KNEW those planes were out there :)

I have that happen where on my screen it looks like no way the guy has a shot but on his screen I am probably hanging there like a grape :)

It may ust be me...but it looked like this Reeb person had angular advantage pretty consistantly till he pushed it too far and stalled. After the falling leaf, he lost everything...but wasnt he in pretty good shape before that?

Reeb was too hamfisted on the controls and missed a few opportunities. Neither flew their Spitfires anywhere near full capability. Nonetheless, such duels are good learning experiences.

However, making excuses is bad form. If Reeb was smoother on the controls and a better shot, he would have won.

My regards,

Widewing

Yeah, my favorite (and most common) statement after a duel is, "OK, what did I do wrong?"

The "300" spartans movie is based off of Frank Millers graphic Novel, which rocked btw!

Frank Miller was the creator of Sin City, a movie that came out last year.
