I have a Tweak prog for my 3DfxVoodoo3 2000 PCI video card...
I just enabled Vsync...after reading this thread..(always felt like I had rubber bullets)My frame rates suk.. Teens to 30's
Can someone explain to me the advantages / disadvantages of the other settings ???
Auto MipMap Dithering: On/Off ?
Anti Aliasing: On/Off ?
Z-Buffer Optimization: On/Off ?
Alpha Blending: Automatic/Sharper/Smoother ?
Video Display: Automatic/Sharper/Smoother ?
Disable V Sync: Already answered
Disable Splash Screen: On/Off ?
Force MipMap Dithering On/Off ?
Limit Texture Memory to 2mb: On/Off ?
Force Triple Buffering: On/Off ?
3Dfx Mini Splash Screen:On/Off ?
Legacy Texture Compression: On/Off ?
Maximum Buffered Frames: 1/2/3 ?
Level of Detail Bias: -16 to +16 (default 4)
I have no Idea what these things mean but I sure would like to increase my frame rates...
I have also installed Cacheman 4.0 It has a Preset configuration for 3D games.. However when I initialized it I cannot see any difference in my frame rates... But my other Progs do run faster... Any setting suggestions for Cacheman would be appreciated.

Make sure anti-ailiasing is off.
The rest should be left at the default, except perhaps the mip mapping level. Tweaking this may result in higher framerates, but will cause the terrain to "shimmer" if turned down too low.
