Why is there the ME262 and the ME163 rocket jet but no Glostor Meteor, the British WW2 jet aircraft?

Please search before posting. We just had a Meteor post last week. But y not, bring it to AH. And the Japanese version of the 163. :aok

a 162 would be better... since more of them was in service than AR234s.......hmmm
