Is it possible to evade radar detection? Do you have to fly really low or something?

i believe currently you must fly below 500 feetAGL to avoid giving a darbar to that sector, and to avoid being seen as a dot on radar.  however, once you break the radar circle of a base you will be setting off the standard 'enemy inbound' warning and there is no way to avoid this.

ok batfink is half right. so you show do dar in the sector you fly  500 feetagl yes but to. when you break the radar circle you will be found instantly incase you go in and kill the radar tower on the base. if you kill the radar tower on the base they have no clue were yall are coming in from.

srry for disproving you batfink but you got to tell him everything.

Wolf, actually Batfink is right. When you stay below min radar alt, you do NOT show on tower based dot dar either. But you do set of the base flashing/"base under attack" warning.

Some japanasian players know how to make their airoplanes fly undergrounds, this is very effictivisient for making invinsible assault on all airofields.

No, dot and bar radar has always been >500' AGL since day one.

It depends on what you want to call "detection".  I always thought it was under 200' to avoid being a dot on enemy radar and to avoid creating a dar bar but if it's 500', great.  So this minimum keeps enemy's from seeing you no matter what, but, friendlies still see your dot (but not a dar bar from you).  As mentioned, the base under attack warning sounds no matter what as soon as you cross the local radar circle.  Here's the part 2:  Say you're on a bomber run to the enemy's HQ.  You can avoid being a dot on enemy radar by avoiding the local radar circles.  You're still on dar bar but not a dot.  All the enemy will know is that you're in the sector you're in and that you're not within a local radar circle (thus being able to reduce their seach area somewhat).  While this doesn't seem like much of an advantage it actually can be at times.

Dar Bars are the green and red rectangles or boxes you can see in some sectors. They indicate presence of friendly (=green) and enemy (=red planes). The bigger the rectangles are, the more planes are in that sector (and above 500ft).

AAaaaaahhhhh...the green and red shaded rectangles, as opposed to the little green and red "dots" for the individual planes!  I was wondering what those shaded things were!
Thanks!
