I figured out how to configure engines separately and was messing around with a 38. It would seem that if you kill one engine in a turn or reduce power it would come around quicker. I found that this wasn't the case. It did, however, come over the top at the top of a vertical ascent. It seemed if you killed one engine at the top and gave full rudder, it would flip over to the side real nice. Does anyone have any one-engine tactics for the 38??? It seems like this could be a real killer skill to master.

I find individual throttle most useful for staving off/recovering from spins. Also it is handy to assist in rolling in near stall conditions where it either does not want to roll, or wants to stall in the wrong direction. I do 'pinwheel'/'single engine reverse' out of the vert on occation, but is more of a specialized for the right situation move than it is a general purpose maneuver.

i've tried using the 1 engine tricks in the vert and actually pulled it off a couple of times. HOWEVER COMMA i dont understand how to get my throttle controls back in "dual" engine mode. i use 1 or 2 to select which engine i want to kill, and that goes well, but from then on out i cant get my engines back in sync. i am left having to keep shifting between the 2 engines to adjust throttle which is especially nasty when you chop throttle and 1 engine remains at full. can't figure out how to sync them again =( so, i quit trying 1 engine tricks.

Hit the button combo "Shift E" to get engines back in sync.

i can't thank you enough!

i thought it was 'ctrl E' to reselect all engine, but i'm usually wrong about most things ;)

One starts/stops all engines, the other just selects all engines. I can't recall which.
