Title: Vehicle steering problem

My j/s won't work on vehicles, period. I can start engine, shift gears, stop engine, views work fine...but I can't make it move in any direction, and the throttle doesn't respond, either. My j/s works on all the planes. It only doesn't work on boats and vehicles.

Any clues? I've been playing this game a long time, and this is the first time I've seen this problem. I have tried calibrating and re-cal my j/s, already.

Does your J/S have different modes? The controls to move your plane and the controls to move a GV are different. On my stick I have to change control modes to move vehicles around. Only thing I can do in a GV while in mode-1 is look around.

slimm50, to control vehicles, you have to have Mode2 mapped in OPTIONS > CONTROLS > Map Controller. You can usuallly just COPY MODE 1 (except a few functions like gear raise/lower instead of flaps and damage display, which need to be remapped). Also, make sure you have the box "autoselect mode at start of flight" checked - otherwise you need to assign keys to the select mode1 (planes) and select mode2 (GV) functions.

To acellerate, move stick forward, left and right to steer.
Note that in PT boats, the accelleration is controlled by the throttle axis, not X axis.
