Title: Anyone notice anything with Patch 4?
Post by: llama on December 07, 2006, 02:48:17 AM
So Patch 4 installed tonight. As it is supposed to.

Is it just me, or did the stall characteristics change A LOT? I was seeing serious snap-rolls left AND right in the Corsairs and the Hellcat where I'm pretty sure I wasn't encountering them before at that point in the flight envelope. Dive speed in the Corsairs seemed slower than patch 2 as well.

Of course, it could just be me, but if someone could confirm or deny this observation, it would help me sleep a lot more soundly either way...

I've flown both since the patch and noticed no difference.

Llama, maybe your stick calibration got thrown off with the install of patch. Try recalibrating and maybe even check the scaling.

Version 2.09 Patch 4 Released December 5, 2006

Changes from previous release

    * Made a change to the field order capture system to allow for multiple paths. This will continue to be play tested in the Orange arena.

    * Fixed a bug that could cause players to not see anyone in an arena if they had gone into a different arena first.

    * Fixed a bug in the radio system that could give invalid messages when you were tuned to an individual and tried to change the channel.

Indeed, that's what it is. My nice smooth curves of sliders had all been reset for some reason.

Thanks for the good idea.
