Title: Spitfire Maneuverability Bug / Change
Post by: Denholm on December 09, 2006, 11:45:36 AM
Recently after the release of the newest patches it seems the maneuverability of the spitfires decreased. Either this was a change or a bug. I did a little bit of testing to see if fuel effected the equation. Yes, it played a part, yet even with the minimum fuel of 25% loaded the maneuverability of the spitfire was still affected. This is what I am noticing:

Before:
Pull stick half-way at 230 MPH and you will perform a half-loop in about 2-4 seconds.

After:
Pull stick half-way at 230 MPH and you will perform a half-loop in about 4-6 seconds.

I looked for an option to increase stick sensitivity, hoping it might pitch in an extra amount of elevator boost to help me get through turns, yet I couldn't find any configuration panels for this.

Once again, I don't know if this is a bug or a new addition that was not working until recent patches to activate the new feature, yet I would appreciate if the later physics of the spitfire would return.

Sincerely,

Lotta folks been complaining about stick scaling being reset. Check yours. That would affect how much you pull at "half deflection".

Yeah, after I submitted this I looked into the "advanced" tab for the "Y-Axis". Saw the "dampering" controller and slid it up a bit, helped A LOT. Thanks again.
