Title: sound card/usb headset
Post by: Sprint22 on December 10, 2006, 01:26:15 PM
I think I put this in the wrong forum for an answer, sorry for repost:

Does anyone know if there is a way to set the sound up for different devices? I have a sound card and a USB headset. Normally I use an outside voice program for squad communication (Vent, TS, etc.) In that manner I usually set the whichever game I am playing to play through my speakers via the soundcard and use the USB headset to hear my voice program and talk to my buds.

Is it possible to set AH's in game voice options this way?

Thanks,

I think ah uses the default directx sound source for the mic, when you set that to your usb microphone you should get that.
This can be configured in the dxdiag-> networking as far as i know (and in a lot of other places too). Why it is in networking and not in sound is byond my knowledge.

Thank you sir for the answer. I had never messed with these settings on the dxdiag b4. I will try to google to see how to make these adjustments.
