A clueless idiot says goodbye (http://apnews.excite.com/article/20061212/D8LV19NG0.html)
In the hometown of President Harry Truman, who helped found the United Nations, Annan said "human rights and the rule of law are vital to global security and prosperity."
Wow! That is so beautiful, Mr Annan!
I often wondered what qualified this moron to lecture anyone about anything. The rule of law? How laughable, coming from the likes of this complete moron.
If he was smart, he would have made a speach about how corrupt and irrelevent the UN is.
Anyway, so long to a pathetic, weak, lying and corrupt criminal.

He's just upset that we stole his goose that was to lay the golden eggs.

Okay fair enough, it's not like he has well-rounded, in-depth, cosmopolitan education and experience of someone that chucks plastic on the ground for a living has, but there you have it.

Very impressive resume. His whole life he has worked:
1. in 1961. He sold hot dogs as a vendor at the Macalester football games
2.In 1962, Annan started working as a Budget Officer for the World Health Organization, an agency of the United Nations
3. Following that, he returned to work for the United Nations as an Assistant Secretary-General in three consecutive positions: Human Resources Management and Security Coordinator from 1987 to 1990
4. On December 13, 1996, Annan was recommended by the United Nationsecurity Council to be Secretary-General[1], and was confirmed four days later by vote of the General Assembly[2]. Annan took the oath of office without delay, starting his first term as Secretary-General on January 1, 1997. Annan replaced outgoing Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali of Egypt, becoming the first person from a black African nation to serve as Secretary-General.
Annan's tenure as Secretary-General was renewed on January 1, 2002, in an unusual deviation from informal policy. The office usually rotates among the continents, with two terms each; since Annan's predecessor Boutros-Ghali was also an African, Annan normally would have served only one term and Annan's re-appointment indicated his unusual popularity
So I ask again, what qualifies this idiot to lecture anyone about anything?
Basically he went from selling hotdogs to being a life-long UN employee. He's a joke.

Obviously, he's a role model for Canadians, Nuke.

"human rights and the rule of law are vital to global security and prosperity."
So... Nuke... I take it you disagree with this statement?

What the hell did he mean by this:
"As Harry Truman said, ‘We must, once and for all, prove by our acts conclusively that right has might.’ That’s why this country has historically been the vanguard of the global human rights movement. But that lead can only be maintained if America remains true to its principles, including in the struggle against terrorism. When it appears to abandon its own ideas and objectives, its friends abroad are naturally troubled and confused."
He was a do nothing in a less than useless organization. Good riddance to him and it will be even better when we say the same to the UN.

I know what he's talking about. Too bad he couldn't be a tad more specific. All he can do is criticize like so many other do nothings. Waste of good breathing air imo.

Amazing how you slid right past his education, Nuke. Granted studying at MIT and Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva won't qualify him for installing astro-turf, but again...there you have it.

now now now....that's not being completely fair. The man did sell hotdogs before he entered his life-long UN carreer as a complete moron.
Remember, he sold hotdogs. The guy is a natural moral compass.

Oh, so then you agree that Bush is a great leader then? Based on education, of course.

After personal attacks failed to win the day, Thrawn tries for the "graceful" exit from certain humiliation.

LOLs, you spelled "Nuke" wrong.

Thrawn, I emailed Skuzzy because of your constant personal attacks against me in this thread.
Normally I would never do that, but I figured that people like you need to be held accountable for the rule violations on this BBS.

Either , had he sold plastic hotdog, he would have been Nuke colleague.

not only did he sell hotdogs but he sold them to the Pope to boot!

If you start a thread in a controversial/angry manner, it should be expected people will react in kind.
Not saying reacting to it fine, but if you want an intelligent discussion to take place, consider starting threads which err to that, and not to some hate filled diatribe which is gauranteed to draw negative responses.
This one is done.
