Is there still demand for 1 on 1 advanced ACM training? I am just curious. In years past I have offered training and it was in high demand. Its been a while and I was wondering if I were to open class back up if people would be interested?
Just a probe here.

When and where? Please put my name on the list. I can be available most anytime, given adequate advance warning (2-3 days). I'm familiar with the techniques, but am a little (read LOT) rusty.
IMHO ACM is the difference between dying a lot and dying a little:lol and I for one would prefer to have the best chance of surviving the MA for more that 5 min.
All joking aside, I remember back in AW days there was a basic and advanced ACM class taught to all the newbies that were interested. I took the classes and it really helped my scores dramatically. I feel this should be a strongly suggested hint to the new members that attending one of these would improve their enjoyment of the game. It could also be an avenue where the really green guys could be instructed in basic set-ups ect. I also remember that it was an excellent opportunity for CO's from interested squadrons to observe potential recruits not only for the Fighters but also the Buff drivers as well. We all can't be fighter material, but a excellent B-17 squadron or two could be the difference in winning a campaign or not. (steps off soapbox)
Now before the hazeing begins, I realize we have a training area set aside for this. But it's basically kinda informal and not a lot of information is readily available because sometimes there aren't any Trainers onsite. Perhaps a link to the trainers here so a newbie could make direct contact?
Please consider my request in the spirit it's intended. I would love to get some formal training here, newbie that I am.

Hello CpMorgan!
Trainer Corps Homepage (http://trainers.hitechcreations.com) - lots of info, links, and a request form to contact the trainers to schedule something.
Net Aces (http://www.netaces.org) is another great site to visit - it also contains the writeup on vertical separation I talked about yesterday morning: Mastering the Merge (http://www.netaces.org/genmerges/merges.html#title).
And please do not hesitate to contact the Trainers, through the form on our site or per email trainers @ hitechcreations.com to schedule more "formal" training.
And if you can get a hold of Nomak/Ronin, do so and hold fast! Hes a great teacher.
Hope to see you up again soon!

If there was a class I would attend for sure, I'd even show up on time!
-
Absolutely one of the best in the game....

After two months in AH with progress but still getting killed a lot, I feel the need for any training I can get. I'm curious to see how this will be set up.
-
Mak, if you have time amongst training classes, i'd love to meet up with you for a few practise fights, just to fine tune some of the more difficult things that i've picked up on lately, i would really value a chance to have you analyse some of my flying
thanks much in advance :)

I would be interested. If I could progress to a level where I am called a cheater I would be happy. :D

I'm in!
-
The average amount of people on in the TA during peak has pretty doubled now sometimes i can see about 30 people in there at once we need more trainers.
-
I would love to have some 1 on 1 help with ACM I just started about 2 weeks ago and have had some improvement, but I think I need an evaluation again!
-
I would love to be included

sure! i'll sign up for...whatever ACM training is...
Um, if the "A" stands for "advanced", does that mean I'm going to get BETTER at getting shot down, spinning out of control, crashing into the trees, etc.? :D I'm pretty advanced at that already!:lol

OK Looks like there is enough interest to do this. I am not sure how I am going to go about this scheduling wise. It always becomes a problem. I need a new system for handling things.
I will sit on that for a spell and try to get something going after the first of the new year. Thx for the interest.

WooT! Count me in!

nomak, sorry I missed you the other day. Was busy when you PM'd, and you were gone when I replied....I'll still keep an eye out for ya :)
-
I'm definitely interested.
Good to see "The Teacher" coming back...I really regret that I got only 1 session in before you took your break.
And as a general FYI -- in the past, Nomak has specialized in helping folks who have the basics of Air to air fighting down. If his sessions were college classes, they'd be the 300 to 400 level, kinda Junior to Senior year.
So if you're interested in learning from him, and you don't feel like you have a great handle on fighter stuff, it might be good to set up some sessions with our current trainers. They're the ones who taught me the basics, the 200 level classes....and they'll be able to move your game up several notches each time you learn from them!

yea Nomak teaches Advanced ACM ... you need to have good basics, good SA , and maybe need some new tricks for your acm bag, or you just have a few bad habits that need cleaning up ... He's great for that .
Be ready to push your plane to the edge and past it .. this isnt for the timid .
-
Nomak,
Would love the opportunity... not sure when you fly/train.

I would be interested. :aok

Murdr.... No big deal. I assumed you were bsy. I was on my way out anyhow.
Again...... Thank you for the interest. I am not going to commit to anything right now. My plan is to get something going mid/late Januaury. Nothing is set in stone though. It takes alot of time and energy to see this kind of thing through. I just dont have time during the holidays. And as I said previously I really need a new way to structure my scheduling. Every time I have done this it becomes a problem. Enough so that the last time I did this I said "Never again" to myself.
See yas after the new year....
