This is a clip from last night that shows pretty good low level defense vs a higher E con. I'm flying near a friendly base "under siege". It reached a point where the good guys (who ever's left) have circled the wagons and the cavalry is somewhere over the hill. I'd just finished up a fight and was climbing back up...
The one thing I'll point out is that in the opening you see me basically deny the merge by pulling a split-s. It seems to be more prudent to me to give the con my 6 and drag the fight away from help then to get locked in to an E fight with nothing but red in sight.
One of those cases where you need to punt the ball and rely on your defense...

that was the kind of fight that to me would most represent a real life 1 on 1 low altitude dogfight. really good to watch. both of you had your fair share of chances and to end a draw was somewhat fitting.
all the tricks of negative energy advantages. i liked the way you avoid being shot and just conserve your E and wait for the right moment to show the 109 how well the hog really climbs up a reversal.
