Skuzzy & Hitech...
Please...Give us finally the "Pearl of the skies"
:D
That was the type of aircraft, which held the skies for western world in 1941-1944
Get a lesson:
Pretty tight history (http://hkkk.fi/~yrjola/war/faf/faf.html)

You could just fly an F4F at 3/4 throttle and chop back your scaling on your joystick...

Brewster was a "Hi-Tec" fighter at itīs own era...
Just like F/A 18 would be nowadays...
The value of that thing then...was not inconsequential
The question is about the doctrine:
The best scoring finnish fighter aces worship the Brewster...
Vice versa...US Navy thought, the Brewster was a weak and poor, and not suitable for US.Navy use for intercepting...
:D
Things and needs are so different...

Hmmmmm, cannon fodder for my Hmk1.... :D

Depends. If we get the navy version with the (IIRC) extra armor, heavier landing gear and tail hook, the Hurri will eat it alive.
The "stripped down" version the Finns received, on the other hand, will give you a run for your money for sure.
-- too lazy to look up the exact quote, but Boyington once remarked that the Brewster could turn inside of a phone booth -- but then the Navy got a hold of it and messed it all up (armor, arresting gear, etc.).

This is probably the biggest area of "intrique" for alot of us. The F2A (Buffalo) P-39 and others (especially the P-47) were all "field modified" rather significantly. Those in "design" often "broke" perfectly good planes that had to be "fixed" by those who lived or died in them.....

more free kills for every one. lol that plane wouldnt stand a chance. bring the mig3 or lagg.

It would be mincemeat to my Hurricane IIC, oh well, at least it would be a pretty plane to be in my gunsight :D

Listen we can have both the F2A3, and the export 233 model.
PLEASE!!!!
I want to defend Midway with the 23 F2A3's, and beat the Russians out of the sky with the Brewster 233.

I, for one, look forward to shooting down an ever increasing variety of aircraft. Bring on the Brewsters!
btw, we're also begging for the P39 and related variants. You scratch our back, we'll scratch yours :)
