Lomac : Black Shark comes out early next year, looks nice and should sit firmly in Sim land, its actually the next add-on for the Lock-On Jet Sim

(but will it include starforce? only time will tell)

Sadly no. Havn't been able to get it to run on my rig either. If anyone knows how, i'd love to fire the old girl up.

Apache vs Havoc, if you can find it, is still fun. I have the source code but have no idea what to do with it.

As was Comanche vs Hokum... was always a good series that captured vertical flight pretty well. Only reason I ever stopped playing it was that the joystick setup for it conflicts with AH.

I always thought a Airwolf helicopter Flight sim would be pretty cool.

I enjoyed flighing it around in MS flight simulator 2004.  Just wish you could fire the guns and rockets in that game :cry

Concerning Airowlf....

After the show was cancelled the modifications were removed. The aircraft was repainted and eventually sold to the German helicopter charter company, Hubschrauber-Sonder-Dienst (aka HSD Luftrettung and Blue Helicopter Alliance), and given the registration number D-HHSD[1]. Airwolf, as a plain Bell 222 air ambulance, crashed in a thunderstorm on 1991-06-09, killing her three passengers.

The 222 has a teetering rotor system... no way they ever did flips with it (assuming that was a serious question). I'm sure they used models for many of the tricks they did. I remember them speeding up the film an awful lot. ;)

ROC, one of my most favorite things to fly in FS2004 was the "Little Nellie" Wallis gyrocopter. Didn't get anywhere fast, but sure was fun. :)

Don't you remember the show???  He used to hit the afterburners and pull into a loop.
:aok

This is why I am glad I have not seen any of the shows I enjoyed as a kid, kind of like the A Team, Knight Rider....they are just too sucky in my older age :)

I'll have to check out the MS Flight sim stuff and look for the apache Vs. stuff.

I have always been fascinated by something so ugly the earth repels it.

Some of the sims (read GAMES) I had tried years ago didn't do justice to the 'copter.  With the level of flight sims we have now it would be nice to fly something that takes more than just point the stick and it goes.

BTW thanks guys and great to see handles in here I haven't seen in awhile!

I play Gunship, game that i got in a "War 3 pack" which also included Nam and WW2.  It's a pretty basic game, very much so a sim (unlimited ammo and invincibility) and you can design your own missions.  I like to make my own and stack up tons of tanks and what not and just go to town.

Here's a hint: Spin the camera and it looks like the earth is spinning.

I know what you mean about shows looking sucky today. I remember trying to tell my Dad about this great new show about these mercinaries that escaped from a high security prison and were hiding in LA. The look on his face has to be identical to the look on mine when A-Team reruns come on today.

You just need to load dual boot Win98 and you can run Apache Longbow 2.

It wont work with 2k or xp.
