Can you recommend the driver # and correct settings for a Nvidia 7300 GS? System: Pentium D 820, 2G ram, 240G SATA.

Try the 84.xx series of drivers.  Avoid the 9x.xx drivers.  The 7300 is a fairly low end video card.  I would start with a "Maximum Texture Size" of 512, and a resolution of 1024x768.  Adjust accordingly from there to find your personal sweet spot.
