In light of all the recent changes to apease the masses, i was thinking maybe the rank system could be expanded a bit. Along with the top 4 categories (overall, fighter, bomber, and gv) i was thinking maybe categories such as best RAF pilot(most kills in a RAF plane) or best gunner(field gun, cv guns) could be tallied up at the end of the month. the info needed to tally these scores is already available, but then again i dont know diddly squat about source coding so i have no idea if this is possible.

Best RAF "virtual pilot" - Levi or SR
Best USN "Virtual Pilot" - Greebo
Best USAAF - SHawk or KillnU
Best Luftweenie - WMLute, Jager or JB42
Best Russian - Fariz

Best FG - Zazen

Buhahahahha SHawk??? no not even close KillnU mabey but if we going 1 on 1 dogfight shawk isnt even close killnU is up there but shawk no I will agree he is a GREAT MA player but 1 on 1 he isnt anything special at all.:aok

How about we just get rid of ranks all together ... think of how much more fun it would be ... less smack talking testosterone on 200 ... less smack talking testosterone on the BBS ... wouldn't it be nice.

Or how about most kills in a certain plane????


It can get more detailed than jus RAF, LW, USAAF, IJAAF..etc....

how about each individual plane, and have a list of the top 10 of who has the most kills in that particular plane and how many.....

I would suggesting loosing the rank thing. Its doesnt mean anything anyway. Ive been up in top 3 on a few tours and down in the 100s on the next without really doing anything worse or better other than "gaming it" when there was a competition with cash prize here a few years back.

Getting a good or bad rank is fairly easy if you just know how. Now i dont worry about it at all but some seem to be fairly hung up on it. :)

If you have alot of time to play going for rank can add an extra dimension and continuity to the gaming experience for a month. But, honestly , like Nilsen, having both played for rank and not, it can become rather tedious doing the shopping list of chores required to achieve a pretty rank month after month. In the end, for most, it's just not worth the effort. It's not that we can't get a good rank (I too got HTC to write me a check during the paid competition), it's that it's just not worth the effort and tedium of doing so.

But, that being said, I do think it would fun to expand on our stats database, Which has been, "Coming Soon" for 3+ years to include the top pilots for every plane and whatnot...
