Title: ATTN Dueling Ladder Players!!!!
Post by: TW9 on December 20, 2006, 02:43:41 PM: Found a website that we can use :D

Basically we're going to start it all over.. Everyone needs to click this link and register..

When it asks for "Ladder Name" make sure you use your in game callsign.. If i find a name that is not an ingame name i will remove it..

be sure to add it to favorites so that u dont lose it..

Also i need like 2 or 3 volunteers to set up dummy accounts for testing purposes..

ya sorry incase u didnt notice i was manually updating EVERYTHING

this had to be done.. and its not like we got far.. only 2 duels were done.. so it shouldnt be that much of a set back

BGBMAW claimed all out title for himself and their were 6 guys that had a account on the latter. I sent so many emails to be on the ladder and no reply. If i am correct shane was running the show at the time.

Post by: TW9 on December 20, 2006, 09:07:38 PM: there was another ladder b4 that one that was very user friendly.. was one long ars ladder of all the participants with easy to use drop down boxes next to their names to make challenges.. and the aar's had drop down boxes with plane types fuel and ord and such.. was a very good site but whoever ran it quit i think or just lost interest in updating the site :( ...

Hey TW9 I registered on the site and challenged redhawk. it's set to end the 27th, but didnt know about the time limit when I challenged him, so we might need to reschedule, or I can catch him before the 25th (I will be out of town all day).

ya u get emailed a validation code.. pretty simple.. believe it actually tells u that :)

Go to "Formal Challenge" and follow the "Yellow Brick Road". You can only challenge up to 6 rank numbers up from whatever your are.

the w/l doesnt determine the rank just like any of the other ladders.. u were 5th and beat a 6th ranked player.. u wont move up for that.. u have to beat someone ranked ahead of u to move up.. again.. just like any other ladder..

I run a lot of websites and was planning on building a flight sim (combat) news style site on it. I just never got around to doing it. But I can make it a ladder site if you guys need a site to use.

I have a few servers so hosting it, isn't a biggie for me.

that would be great dude.. i'll do some searches for software and scripts for it.. the current site is kind of out of whack.. the whole challenging system can be confusing to most..

Post by: TW9 on December 21, 2006, 05:04:39 PM: Found a few scripts but they're in the 125-250 usd range.. they're ok but still not incomparison to the old site.. anyone remember who ran that one anyways? not the last one thats alot like the current one but the one b4 that with the 1 ladder with drop down boxes next to people names to make challenges.. and the aar had drop down boxes for each match to chose plane types, ord, fuel ect.. ring a bell anyone? i wanna say Saw ran it but im not sure....

There u'll see a list of unranked member in which u can challenge.. challenge them using "formal challenge" under "ladder" ..
