So..............there me and Mr Daniels sat, in Texas, eyeballing the puter screen, checking out a `02 Softail Deuce Harley for sale in Cleveland Ohio.
She had cosmetic damage. Broken bars on one side, couple of dents, etc. Just my cup of tea to rebuild the way I wanted.
Mr. Daniels was telling me.." Man, you need that softail because of your disc problems."
I half hearted argued for a while with Mr. Daniels, knowing full well that he had more knowledge than myself. :)
I punched the button and it was a done deal. Mr. Daniels was well pleased. I could explain to the wife later. Hehe!
Rain here was sort of a folklore at this point, but it made up for it Wednesday when I took off for the great land of Ohio in the F150 to retrieve my new toy. I had about 15 minutes total of no rain all the way to Cleveland and back down to Louisville where it finaly slacked off.
Today I start the parts run to put her the way i want her. Fun stuff.
I could have sworn I heard my ole 60 chopper giggle when I unloaded this gadget factory. :)
Softail riders...one question. What is this little button marked "BB" on the right handlebar? :rofl

Congrats. I've been thinking about getting a beat up Evo Sporty and doing something like this to it.

Thanks.
Nice looking Sporty.
Yesterday I put a set of handlebars and a new juice box on the Deuce to see what she would do. Gave her a couple of shakedown putts before starting the Jackal Mods. :)
One word--------------> SWEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeet!
I have some discs in my neck that are fubared and the old hardtail had became a little tortuous for any extended riding.
Love the old hardtail and the old school style, but I also like to ride a lot so I am back in business. ;)
