OK, there is a Chrstmas song I liek mostly because it has, to me, a very catchy lyrical delivery. It is more of a rock genre than a traditional Chrstmas song. It is ung by a woman who is telling a story... it covers how she and a guy wanted to date but their schedules never worked out(I think)
In the song she is going to end up spending Christmas alone but forgets to buy the cranberry Sauce... or some item. She goes to the store to buy the forgotten item and runs into the guy. I can hear the cadence of the lyrics in my mind but am blocked by the 406 other Christmas songs in my head.
The last line in the song, it is repeated several times at the end goes something like this : merry Christmas, merry Christmas. Christmas comes this time each year.
I swear I'm not making this up but my wife has no idea what I'm talking about. Help me out please?!

Maybe Tchiakovsky of some sort then?
Did he do all the music for the Nutcracker, or only the suite?
Anyway, a place to start looking.
Edit - Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies?

Yes, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker ballet by Tchkaivosky, who wrote the music for the whole shebang. It's our annual holiday tradition to watch a local dance studio's production of this.
The production is charming with amateur dancers of all ages augmented with a few pros, but it would be an ordeal if the music were performed by the same caliber of talent. The music is extremely challenging and easiest on the ears done by a professional recording.
