What
Wrong
Own
Battle
Please
Spelled - I'm not sure spelt is even a word

If we are counting the proper use of upper case letters then the list includes:

Oh
Yo (which isn't really a word, but I'll let it slide)
I (three times)
Then

You seem to be missing a couple periods (.), at least two question marks (?) and a few assorted commas (,).

Your computer came with all the commas, periods and question marks you will ever need, even if you write the next great American novel. You may as well use them since you already have all you will ever need.

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the EU rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations Her Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5 year phase-in plan of modifications that will lead to 'Euro-English' as the language will be known.

In the first year, 's' will replace the soft 'c'. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard 'c' will be dropped in favour of the 'k'. This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome 'ph' will be replased with the 'f '. This will make words like 'fotograf ' 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expected to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the removal of double leters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent 'e' in the languag is disgraseful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing 'th' with 'z' and 'w' with 'v' to beter align the modified language with the kapabilities of the Euro speaker.

During ze fifz yer ze unesesary 'o' kan be dropd from vords kontaining 'ou' and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

After ziz fifz yer ve vil hav a rali sensibl riten styl. Zer vil be no mor truble or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech ozer.

Ze drem vil finali kum tru!

Meatwad needs some help

Why do squeakers spell the word "What" with the word "wut"

Is it some sort of mental retardation only found in squeakers or are they just plain retarded in the head. Perhaps eating too many of the lead paint chips that peel off of metal fences commonly found around schoold?

Title: Mean Spiritedness / Spelling
Post by: Daubie on July 01, 2007, 03:57:07 AM
Some guys try to type English and they are not USA, English, Canadian, Australian, German or India-n.  They do the best they can.  Some people don't type too well: TYPO !

The guy that taught me welding was from WWII Berlin.  He said after the war, English was required as Germany's secondary language; it was mandatory to learn.

Some people are stroke survivors.  Most you guys in here are under thirty.  Half you guys in here will stroke at some point in your journey.  When that happens, please enjoy the experience, if you even survive it.

You guys need to be more gentle and cut people some slack...
