Wikipedia is very often wrong about aircraft.  Moreover, even if none of the datat is actually wrong, it is often taken out of context.  For instance, it lists the stall speed for a certain aircraft at one hundred and ten miles per hour.  What it doesn't tell you is that the aircraft was loaded with drop tanks, rockets, and a pilot who had just eaten a steak and two cans of beans.  The stall speed for the aircraft loaded normally was only ninety.

My pet peeve is the famous 414 M.P.H. figure for the P-38L.  What they don't tell you is that speed was obtained using military power.  The P-38J, which was slower than the P-38L, obtained 430 M.P.H.  The actual true top speed for the P-38L has been estimated by various P-38 experts (ones who have researched and written books about the P-38) from 421 M.P.H. to 440 M.P.H.

ive never had an L above 400 in lvl flight and when you dive and go past 450 is compresses
