I just saw the new trailer to the upcoming Transformers movie and my inner child screamed! Finally a child themed movie that seemed to age with the people who had them as kids...seems very dark.
I wish I still had my toys with all the Star Wars and Transformers I had as a kid I could retire now.

Trailer looks awesome. Definitely does not look like a children's movie.

We saw the trailer while attending "Night at the Museum" (Which I highly recommend if you have kids) and it was stunning. I asked the boys if they wanted to see it and I thought their heads were going to come off from nodding "yes" so fast after the trailer had played.

i'm waiting for Soundwave (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soundwave_%28Transformers%29) to be shown, with Buzzsaw and Laserbeak :aok
though Starscream and Ramjet were 2 favs also ;)
FK just read:
2007 film
Almost from the moment the live-action Transformers movie was announced in 2004, producer Don Murphy and the production team made it clear they did not want to feature mass/size shifting in transformation, due to concerns over realism. With this process an inherent part of Soundwave's tape deck alternate mode, there was some discussion over whether or not to change it, or to include the character in the film at all. Early leaked movie scripts proposed that his alternate mode would be a helicopter, but animatics shown at the 2005 Comic Con were badly received. This led to a rethink, (with the eventual helicopter character named Blackout).
2006 script reviews named Soundwave as a spying boombox on Air Force One, able to transform into a small robot, but eventually, this character was amended to being Frenzy, with Don Murphy stating that Soundwave will be reserved for a future movie, until they can "do him right."

I think they are trying to feature only like 11 transformers in the movie..would be badass to see devestator in a live movie tho.
