While shopping HDTVs I saw a big screen presentation of what somebody said was Nadia film or something like that. What got my attention was a foxy heroine charging into a desert battle on a chariot pulled by two big polar bears.
Is that bearly stretching the imagination?
The graphics and action looked pretty good. Same caliber as Happy Feet. Anybody see either and have a recommendation, good or bad?

I think the film you're talking about is the Chroncles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe...
I used to like the cartoon version when I was little, so I watched it, and, all in all, it's not that bad...
But not exactly something I'd try to sell you on, either...
Rent it, or catch it On Demand or something. It's not really personal library worthy unless you're really into the novels.

Narnia, that's it. Thanks, Vudak. I don't get into animated films very much but I wanted to see a little more of that one. Will wait for it On Demand.

I rented it some time ago.
Most gawd aweful cliche film ive ever seen.
The film has only 2 things that earn it my respect:
the WW2 air combat intro
and
the acting of the youngest girl. Truly wonderful. The scene where she first entered Narnia is one of the best ive seen done in many years. Its almost Never-ending story like in its wonder.

Narnia has alot of special fx, but it's not an "animated" flick.
Also... it's not a cliche' flick. If it seems that way it's because the story line has been copied. It's based on the CS Lewis series of books (The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe) which I recomend for anyone under the age of 13. It follows the books too closely to be "cliche". The movie, however, does not do the books justice.

My girlfriend made me download it... awful movie. Maybe if I'd read the books when I was a kid I'd have liked it? Dunno... she loved it.

The Deluge (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072021/) has a good polar bear sleigh scene
