I have a PIII 450 with a Voodoo 5500. I know the 450 is the bottleneck, however, it should not be so bad.
I am not using Z-buffer
It worked great until the patch 3 of 1.05
Can you help?
Thanks,
jehu

It works perfectly for me. Patch 3 solved the freez in CV ack problem as well as picked the framerate up a bit.
I play in 1024x768 32 bit color 2x FSAA and run between 30 and 50 fps, almost always in the low 40's. It looks amazing and I have no graphical anomalies or anything. I have an Athlon 700 and 256 Megs of RAM to with the V5. You DO NOT have to drop to 16 bit color with that card. If the framerate is too low with your processor, turn off FSAA for Direct X and you should get blazing speed.
At least 2 other guys in my squad have the V5, and nobody has a problem with patch 3. In fact the Voodoo folks seem to have much less problems with 1.05 in general I find.
What, exactly, is the problem?
