Post by: Skuzzy on January 05, 2007, 07:44:40 PM: It does seem more snappy. Actually went from a dual 850Mhz P3 system with 1GB of RAm, to a Core Duo system with 2GB of RAM.

Over the years, that dual 850MHZ P3 system has been a real workhorse. At one time it was the Main Arena server.

I was just complaining earlier that even after building a $3K plus PC with a DSL connection web pages still take forever to load; this page took longer than the others have at 0.446s, I can deal with that any day of the week.

no, i knew linux and unix at the time.....

was back at the CON in indy and asked Dale....

have a feeling they didn't want just your ordinary schmucks knowing what the game server was running :aok
