Title: Game Name
Post by: Gary26 on January 05, 2007, 04:42:53 PM
For those of your who know me as LwDwn i have finally grown tired of people not geting that LwDwn is short for LowDown. So after a sozen diffrent names like Lard wind, Lawn Dawn, Lawn Down, and my fav Lawn Dart. I have changed my name to Shortbus. Those that know well will know that name fits. I would also like to say that after 2 weeks I finally got my avatar thing whipped. BIG THANKS TO SCHATZI.
<.....Check it out

Lawn Dart was a long time warbirds player, and maybe Aces High too? I thought that is who you were at first glance also. :D

I dunno -- always thought it was "lush", as if drinking was his favorite pastime . . .

Lowdown seemed obvious enough to me.  Too bad you felt it necessary to change it.

LoL

So true Lusche.  Only those of German and\or Suisse descent get mine right, with a few exceptions here and there.

My fav is Stamp "F"

LowDown...Seemed pretty easy.  Good handle too.

What does it mean? My grandparents used to call me that when I was very young, they spoke German fluently even though they were born in the US. I knew it was a "term of endearment" but am curious as to the rough translation in English.

You are very hard to VOX about/to. "Nine-nine-nine-zero-zero-zero, check six!" or "Triple nine triple zero, look out" and so forth. It's NOT a name conducive to easy speech.

To my mind I only say it one way. I'm not always right with pronouncing strange words, but I always had a good grasp saying words I was unfamiliar with after just reading them, as a kid.

I say it as j'hee (G said like Jelly, hi said like hee, so saying the Gee from Gee Whiz, only with a slight H sound in there.

Just shout "number guy, six!"

On the other hand,  this will sometimes make 50% of all pilots in range doing evasive moves, but itīs not your fault they dont have a proper name... :D

Good thing u cleared the air, cause I am very guilty of calling you lawn dawn. Dont know why, but I think it was in a furball somewhere I just caught a glimpse of you with like 3 on your six, and and the first thing I saw in the name looked like that, so I called over to ya, and thats what ive been using. Sorry. I had to laugh whe I saw some calling you Lawn Dart, now thats a classic. :aok

Just gotta explain it in your siggy, eventually people catch on (except some of my denser squaddies...). Although in my case it throws people off that I don't speak either French or Spanish.

Glad to see you're still here Lw, I had noticed that I hadn't heard your name in a while. That explains it :aok

PS- And just call Platan0 "Little banana". Works for me.
