I love that plane!
I destroyed many uberplanes in that thing while playing Il-2.

This flight engine is a little more realistic than IL2's. You might find the I-16 in AH would be modeled with the historical instability that was more likely to kill the pilot than the enemy. Or you might find that in this game it is realistically underpowered, unable to climb or accelerate even close to 109s and various late-war rides. Also in IL-2 you're only up against a selection of early 109s in the offline campaigns and you don't run into LA-7s or P-51Ds or F4U-4s. It wouldn't be very effective.

Mind you I think we should eventually get it, because it was one of the more prominent early war VVS aircraft. I'm just pointing out it wouldn't be exactly the same set of results as you'd see in IL2. :aok

I think the Type 27 would be best

I agree totally, Yosh.
Even if the I-16 fares poorly in the game, at least we will look cool going down in flames.
