Here is a brief movie of Saturday evenings memorial fight for KO. To 68KO's family... I am very sorry for your loss and hope that you know that there are hundreds of people here that are keeping you in their prayers. I also hope that this film will be a fitting tribute to 68KO.

I was so honored to have been there side by side with the LTARS in the gun salute! KO as well as all the 68's have been so respectful to me. I am glad to return my respects and be involved in something I will never forget ... what a community!! Brings me to tears when I think of it! Your film is great .. what a tribute. It pains me yet it is so great to hear his voice again. KO I am sure is proud where he is of the job his squadmates and AH family did for his memorial. He will be missed!

I was hoping someone would make one so I could D/L it to my puter at home and save it.
It was a very nice tribute. My wife and I watched it this morning and she was touched by it. Often times we don't realise what a great place this is. Even she commented on what a close knit bunch this can be.
Thanks

Can't download it...says "Loading info" and nothing else.
Must not like Firefox.

awesome work, Surf on the video.

Thanks everyone. It is the least i can do for a great man. Puck, it does take about a minute to get passed the loading info part. I suggest that you click the link and then wait a few minutes and then check it to see if it is there. I wish i could have captured the troop drop and the gun salute, but the film veiwer does not support those things. (maybe something that should be fixed!) Anyway,
everyone and thanks again for the kind comments. We will miss you KO.

that film was awsome, during the whole memorial flight i kept thinkin i couldnt never imagine what KO's family is goin thru. there are never the right words to say to help them with their loss. seeing what this community did for a dear friend yesturday and how everyone pulled together to pay their respects makes me proud to be a part of this community. that film made me cry. i didnt know KO as well as many of the others in the community, i have flown missions with the 68th and have the highest respect for their squad. i been playin AH for almost 2 years and i now wish i would have flown beside KO more than i did. this only insures us that life is so short and unpredictable. you never know what tomorrow holds in store for us. KO was only 6 years older than me. this makes me think of my life and the lil things i take for granted and prolly dont appreicate as much as i should. family...friends...ect. i could never imagine not seeing my kids grow up or them gettin married and having a family. i wish KO's wife and children the best. if there is anytime that any of yall need a friend to chat with, i am a good listener. i might now know what to say all the time but i will try my best to be there if needed.
<> KO....wish there would have been more time.

The film is outstanding and the 68th thanks you. I have sent a copy to 68KO's family
-
another fine piece of work surf, really did the event proud...im sure his family, and members of this community will cherish it for a long time...
all who attended
-
Surf35 DeMille you have done it again. An excellent tribute to a cool dude. It choked me up to participate and watch this event. Again I send wishes of strength to 68KO's family.
-
Wish I hadn't gotten called out to work, really wanted to take part in the memorial flight, but your film was so well done, it felt like I was there, and I am sure that anyone who saw it felt the same.
A great tribute to a fellow flyer in our community.

great work, hearing KO again brought it all back.
going thru film to find the best KO moments when we are argueing about which is better northern Jersey or eastern Philly(aka South Jersey)
I have shed tears for him everynight, I can't believe he is gone, and don't want to.
-
holy cow. I had never flown with the man but that movie made me cry.:cry
-
Jim,
Please post this , I cant seem to log in to do so.
To 68Falcon as well as the whole 68th and the community of Aces High,
I just need to say all I do is cry when I read the threads you’ve posted. I seen the 5 minute movie on KO’s memorial flight. I could not bring myself to watch it a second time. I was crying to much the first. I I, I just have no words to say. I heard his voice again…What I wouldn’t do to watch him sit on the computer and hear him scream “watch your six”!
O my…. I cant believe you have his voice.
If possible please keep the threads up for a while or put them all in one spot. After all is said and done Iam going to want to go back and read and reminise on my husbands passion. And I think it may help me get through. My son wants to read them also. There just hasn’t been to much time.
I can say though, his funeral tomorrow is going to be beautiful. I think I covered everything to honor Bill, I did so many nice things that I know hed be proud. I have 6 big picture boards of nothing but happy memories of his life. And yes you are all included. I have his p-51 there, I also have one that he is taking with him.
I can tell more at another time, Im just to sad now.
Guys, Thankyou for making that flight special, and keeping me and our 2 kids in your thoughts and prayers. We sure are going to need it.
Until next time…
and thankyou again!

I havent been in AH to get to know anyone very well other than a few of the AW old timers. I managed to wing with 68KO a few times and do a snapshot so I didnt get a chance to get very close. I was very honored to have flown in yesterdays memorial I was very touched at how close everyone here is. It is a privledge to play and fly with such outstanding people.
I have played about every online game there is to play and yesterday I have never seen soo much emotion. Even as a newb to AH I must say that this is a memory that is burnt in my heart and mind. It was a true pilots send off .

God bless you, and may you find some comfort in this tragedy, It was an Honor to be a part of the flyover, and reading your words, I am glad that we were able to perform a tribute, in ever how insignificant, it may seem to the outside world, it was grand in the Aces high community.

I was brought to tears hearing his voice and watching the movie.
I will miss him, more then I can express...................... ...
68KO & God bless his family.

omg, so...beutifull... lol to be honest it had me in tears, the honor and companionship this game has is unseen in any other game.
i would be honored if you would allow me to host this on my webserver (http://www.blametheisland.com)
also i am a director for youtube, i could put it there, with all credits given of course.
its amazing how someone can become so attached.
-
la7, you may do what you want with this film. As well as anyone else. I made it to be a rememberance of the flight for the community. So it is the communities to do with it what they want. Thanks again everyone for the kind remarks on the film.

Excellent Movie
<>68KO
I remember 68KO as a stand out in Aces High. An unusual leader, he started the "Alliance" missions, these were among the most memorable I have flown. His accomplishments are very remarkable. 68KO

Outstanding work on the film....
68KO, you will be missed sir.... god speed.....
-
Surf - that was awesome. I watched it at work and have to re-gain my composure. He always spoke highly of his friends on AH. I now regret never taking him up on his invites to join him. I can't tell you how many times I was over his house while he was flying and he would review all the plans for the mission. Thank you all.
-
74 u still there? Ya see what we missed about what bill loved so much....
-
Im still here!
-
Well done guys.
Very good testiment to the great friendships 68KO made in this game, and the outstanding characters of the individuals in the community.
You're all excellent people.

Brings me to tears everytime i watch it, KO was a Great Pilot and a very important Person to the Knights and this Community, His loss is very unfortunate. My thoughts and Prayers to you and your children Miss 68KO! :(:cry

68KO
That was a very beautiful touching movie. It made me cry even though I never meet 68KO. Sounds like he was very well liked guy in AH and in RL. What makes this so beautiful, so touching is that even though this is a game and few of us ever meet in person, so many well show so much respect for a falling person that they never meet. :cry
well done :aok
-
Nice job guys. This movie brought tears to my eyes.
68KO. You'll be missed.
