Yes, those are 24" wheels on a lifted Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
I tell ya... the mind simply reels.

I havn't quite got the hang of what it is that people who do that to thier cars see in it. What are they trying to achieve? I can understand the hydraulics thing, being able to raise and lower your vehicle, but the oversized wheels just look cartoonish to me. Maybe that's the answer, they want to be like the cartoon characters they spend all thier time watching on TV!

who wants rims that cost more than the car?
-
I've seen fuglier
just saying

I think this is part of a new style called 'Donk'. Here's a link to a nicer looking example I saw:

It's not just big tires. Think about it, there's some engineering in there for drivetrain issues/suspension/etc. I think it's pretty creative, myself.

Yeah... I've just been reading about that.

Never heard of Donks before.

RPG!!!! RPG!!!!

Wow. And I thought pants hanging down around the knees was just another "identity crisis".
-
$2.63 a gallon, ouch. $2.09 here.
-
Those rims EASILY cost $15,000, probably closer to $20,000. The car is worth what $1500?
I enjoy laughing at people like this.

We're in the middle of nowhere. Gas isn't cheap...
Well... it's cheaper than Death Valley so we've got that going for us.

is there a shortage of ethnic youth in your town?
-
Could this be the cultural counterpart to the "low-rider"?
-
What would you call it? A high-rider?

The guy who lives nextdoor has an H1 hummer with wheels like that. Though it looks bad, the 20 inches look almost right on the damn thing.
Sadly it was a CTIS hummer, and he **** canned the CTIS wheels for crappy oversized crome wheels, and we all just know it will never be wheeled lol.
