Spitfire Ace was a good show, and infact this is probably the exact TV show(s) (the australian ABC watermark on the videos) that i'd seen.
After this series ran, the ABC ran another show Bomber Crew (http://www.abc.net.au/tv/guide/netw/200602/programs/ZY7724A001D23022006T203000.htm) by the same makers of spitfire ace, where the decendants of Bomber command veterans vie for positions in a bomber crew, culminating with a mock sortie flight in a real lancaster.

Ill never be able to watch it from the computer, is there any way I can download it onto my desktop?
-
on the right side look for button "telecharger"(i assume is download by french), right next to drop bar wit MAC/win, push there and download as mp4/ipod.
Its save movie as mp4

Thanks Ramzey. Good show.
If you replace the .fr with .com you get the same page in English.
-
Thanks! Just dowloaded all 4! (I get better quality image on my iPod anyway!)
-
Wow. Just watched the first two... FREAKING BRILLIANT!!! Thanks for this excellent find! Got any more similar? Or any fighter plane shows of any kind? (Looking for movies to put on my iPod, but I cannot afford to get them from iTunes, even if iTunes HAD any WWII stuff, which they dont. :()
