Welcome....

I didn't get the pleasure of meeting or flying with KO, but from what I gather it was completely my loss.

I so wish they didnt lock Bill out, where I couldnt hop in Falcons plane to join the memorial flight. I was so upset about that. Im honored, and Bill would have been so proud. I just wish I coulda been there, I went above and beyond to be there and i was locked out. But I did see the 5 min video,  quite a few times, just hearing his voice....I cry!!!  Whoever made it thankyou..and thankyou for honoring my husband in a great way!

If anyone has the whole thing or any of the chat Id love to see/hear it

I just dont know what to do

The wreath was beautiful that you all sent, it now rests on him where hes laid to rest.  God I cant stand it!!!!!

Thank you all for being so nice.

My poor kids dont have a dad...it really is a sad thing cause he was such a good man.

Gosh, if that isn't the understatement of the year :)

...

Mrs. KO, welcome to our crazy world...  After you sift through a few pages worth of posts, I'm sure you'll come to appreciate us all and our weird senses of humor, and your husband's hobby more.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss, and hope you find some things in those pages that make you smile and help you through this.

I didn't really know your husband personally, but I certainly knew his name.  I doubt there's anyone who didn't.  He certainly made a mark on this game, and will be missed.

Understatement of the year.  You may or may not know my name, KO and I were not getting along at the moment.  He is missed Personally, regardless of the small difference of opinion.  Differences can be overcome, Losses cannot be.

Be well, my thoughts are with you and your loss.

I am truly sorry for your loss.  I wish I had the words to make it all better.

Mrs. KO,  I'm not sure how you are doing this.  You have my utmost respect in how you are handling things.  I never lost my wife, but I did lose a child a year and half ago.  I wont say I know how you feel, but I know the pain of loss.  My sympathy and condolences to you and yours.

I do not know where in this world you reside, but I do know that if you need it and somebody here can make it happen it will.  These are great people.   I only had the honor of flying with KO a couple times, but he was one of the first names I ever learned on this game.  Great pilot, and a great man from everything I have heard.  I was honored to participate in his memorial flight and would be happy to do so again if it is needed.

It's good to have you here with us.

If you ever begin the flying thing....I'm sure 68th would be your home. Since the squad I am in flies the same side I am sure we would cross paths. Speaking for the entire squad , we'll look forward to that.

Hello Sue  I always enjoyed 68KO when he was on...I remember one snapshot when we both flew bombers together..a real treat! we knew together  we could give the "bad guy" a tough time..on this particulair run seemed all the fighters were attacking 68KO ..it was like "check 6" check 6 check 6! anyway together we brought down a bunch of the bad guys and together we made it back......I'm going to miss that man!

Sue I always fly Bombers and if your interested your more than welcome to join my bomber group and fly along as a gunner....I think 68KO might have liked that idea!

Sue Although we have no idea what its like for you...know many of us are sharing your pain.

Sue,
I didn't get to make the memorial flight as I was between bases with a big move from Italy to North Carolina and was without my computer when the flight took place.  I flew many times with KO and as I dig through hours and hours of film I will pay attention to see if I have anything with him on it.  I miss him alot and hope God and this group of misfits in here helps you get through this.  I you and wish you and your family well...

Sue, for managing to keep your head up during this horrid time. I think it shows great courage and strength of character. I dont hvae a clue how u manage, because im pretty certain I couldnt. I congratulate you for that, and I think of it as an honour that you were still able to poop onto the boards to have a look. I am genuinly full of amazement how you can do that. I only flew with 68Ko once. My loss. Only now when he's gone do I wish that I had looked for him more often. He was a great guy, and I, inlike most people (i am aware im about to be killed for this) didnt know of the legends around him, and I thought of him as just another player. However the second he spoke on Vox, I could tell he was a brilliant guy. Only after hearing of the sad news did I start also hearing of the legands of 68KO. I wish I had seen more of him, and It was a privilage to fly fighter cover for him on that single mission together. I'll never forget it. I fly past and see 68KO deep in enemy territiory on his own in a T34 tank! What a man just for that! MrsKo and keep your chin up. And if life is really gettin you down, always remember that well known song (Don armour and bullet proof mask since the horde will cut me down for this) and I leave with these words.   MrsKo and 68 KO

'Always look on the Bright side of life! *whistles* Always look on the bright side of life!'

MRS68KO

Mrs. 68KO,
I seriously doubt that there was anyone "who didn't care about him."
As mentioned previously, we have all posted in the heat of anger, defeat or at other times we should have been hitting a wall instead, but the guys in Texas who gave us the opportunity to play this game have brought together a bunch of guys and gals who are just super people.
I have flown with many of them since the old Air Warrior days, got to meet many at different cons, and I have come to the conclusion that even your "enemies" are really friends you just like to shoot down.
Condolences to you and the children. I am sure Bill will influence them as they grow from the lessons he had already tought them, and you surely have a lifetime of good memories to help you through this difficult stage of your life.
From myself as CO and the -=1st=- N.A.S.T.Y., post on...we will do our best to do what we can to help you in anyway possible.

Mrs 68KO. I really wished I could have been at the memorial flight but work took me out of town and I missed it. If Doobs or anyone else wants to set up anouther one please let me know so I can attend the second one. It would be an honor to fly with you Sue.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I know Bill would be proud to see you flying with all his friends. If you ever need anything you know this is the place to ask.

God speed.

I didn't know 68KO.  I'm not sure if I even ever fought him. I'm sure I've faced off against the 68th before (laws of inevitability).  I have therefore not posted on these threads.

Finally, I felt I had to.  I have been impressed with the 68th and the way they handled honering one of thier own and even more impressed that Ms. 68KO came here to share her grief.

to all of you.

BTW, whoever did the video did a great job.  It was a fitting and touching tribute.

Yes, I was very distressed I couldnt make it to the first memorial flight, and I would very much like to be a part of another, should it take place. I remember he was a great part of the game, his missions legendary, and his dedication to teamwork outstanding. I really enjoyed flying with him and the entire 68th. Its nice to see someone carrying on in his name.

I don't know you & I didn't know him, but I am sincerely sorry for your loss & that of your children. Hold your head high & know that death is just the beginning of a much richer journey. Your husband seemed to have many friends here & after being here for two or three years myself I can honestly say having more than a couple people that really like you is a big accomplishment & speaks well of the person in question.

OMG  i dont know what to say,( i took a leave of absense from game when and how?)  i feel tears that wont stop, i met bill years ago when he was learning to fly in air warriors and the motleyaces brought him under our wing to teach him how to fly and bomb and he was a great pilot, when air warriors closed i lost touch with him (guess things like that happen) but when i downloaded aces high 2 years ago and was trying it out i ran into Bill again under 68KO we talked abit untill i realized it was MOTKO from the old AW days it was like seeing a long lost friend again,

i pray for you Sue and your children just know that you have a big community here as well as people you can call friends, Bill was and will always be my wingman in my heart and soul take care

Damage Inc., Pigstompers will be by your side in any fight or give any advice if ever needed. Im sure you will not need our advice with the masses that have replied to your post and the Ko's will more than help you out. I miss 68Ko's voice already and tear up every time I think about him.
We are on channel 188 if you ever need us! <> To you for being strong, my family and friends thoughts and prayers are with you.
Just remember there are a lot of people that bill touched in this virtual world and his memory lives on and stay strong for you and your children.
I also want to warn you that not all people in here are the best of characters. You will just have to ignore the little gnats and they will whine and go away.
With much love from all my squaddies <>
