Title: Monitor Question.....skuzzy too
Post by: loony1 on January 10, 2007, 01:00:32 AM
Heres the deal i have an ACER 22in widescreen LCD and it doesn't read in the Display settings. It only reads as "default Plug and Play monitor". Is that right? My old CRT read correctly. I cant get my video settings to hold. I turn my gamma down and hit apply but soon as i click on an application it jumps back up and i have to reset it again. Could this be because its not reading the monitor other than just plug and play?

You need to install the INF file for the monitor.  It either came on a CD with your display, or you probably can get it from the manufacturer.

Second that, but it may as well be the bug in the latest nvidia drivers. At least the originally shipped 8800 driver set is 100% buggy and can lose your display settings randomly.
