Title: Please clue me in
Post by: nirvana on January 10, 2007, 08:27:16 PM
Did something important happen?  I get back from printing a paper expecting to see the Simpsons and I get some Fox news anchor saying it's the Iraqi's turn to step up.  Flipping through the channel, another national news anchor on NBC is saying something about continuous coverage....what happened?

The White House will ask Congress for $5.6 billion for the additional troops, and $1.2 billion for rebuilding and jobs programs in Iraq, senior administration officials said.

The President had an "Address" and 20,000 more troops will be going to Iraq.

With any luck the next news we hear will be the Congress announcing that they've told the president to pack sand (and use a hammer).

Ooh, that one reads almost as well as the old "You're either with us or the terrists" chestnut.  It ain't disco, but you can dance to it.

I'm so sick of this partisan bull&%^t.  Does anyone remember we're all Americans?  Well, except for those of you who aren't.
